CORRUGATED CARDBOARD
Innovative Solutions Providing Maximum Protection and Support
Types of Waves
The places where corrugated cardboards are used, in accordance with the purpose of use; different quality and grammage paper and wave selection can be used to obtain corrugated cardboards in various qualities. According to the characteristics of their flutes, they mainly form single wave corrugated cardboard types and various corrugated cardboard types with the combinations of these wave types. By determining which wave type will be used according to the needs, and deciding on the paper type, grammage and product model, the product is delivered to the final point without damage as soon as it is produced.
E WAVE (MICRO) (Groove Height 1.0–1.8 mm)
It is obtained by combining three layers of paper. Due to the high and frequent number of grooves and the low groove height, the surface crush resistance is very good and it provides quality printing. It is generally not used for direct transportation purposes except for pizza/pita boxes and end consumer packaging.
B WAVE (THIN) (Groove Height 2.2–3.0 mm)
It is obtained by combining three layers of paper. It is resistant to surface crushing due to the low groove heights and wave intervals, and has a suitable surface for printing. It is used in the packaging of all kinds of products, especially those that are carriers themselves, and mainly in the production of molded boxes.
C WAVE (COARSE) (Groove Height 3.2–4.0 mm)
It is obtained by combining three layers of paper. It gives good results in materials that are not too heavy as a carrier thanks to its high groove heights. It is frequently used as a pallet bottom separator. It allows stacking in carrier products and allows fast production as it is a standard production.
B+E WAVE (MICRO DOPEL) (Groove Height 4.2–4.8 mm)
It is obtained by combining five layers of paper. It is a wave type formed by the combination of B wave and E wave. While providing a beautiful printing surface with the advantages of both waves, it offers a solid box image with sharp lines. By using grammage papers, both durable and beautiful packaging can be obtained.
B+C WAVE (DOPEL) (Groove Height 6.2–7.1 mm)
It is obtained by combining five layers of paper. It is a wave type formed by the combination of B wave and C wave. Its thickness, strength values, protection and carrying properties are higher than single wave boxes as a box. It is preferred in products with high transfer and stacking. It allows fast production as it is standard production.
A+C+B WAVE (TRIPLEX) (Groove Height 10.7–11.8 mm)
It is obtained by combining seven layers of paper. It is formed by the combination of A wave, C wave and B wave. It is used in the packaging of heavy industry products. It can be used instead of wooden cases and saves costs. It is the most durable wave type and is preferred in the shipment of very sensitive or heavy materials.
